  • Scecina gymnasts flip for new program

    Scecina Memorial High School is home to the only gymnastics program within the 17 City Alliance Schools, and one of just two programs among the eight-school Indiana Crossroads Conference. Thanks to Coaches Allison Delaney '10 and Elaine O’Brian, and the support of past coach Anne O’Connor, the Scecina gymnastics program is flourishing in a time when many other schools are ending their programs.

     Gymnastics began at Scecina in the 2014-15 school year with just two gymnasts, Molly Griffin ’18 and Mary O’Connor ’17.   • Wrestling takes Scecina junior to new heights

    The “blast double” is one of the most physically dominating takedowns in wrestling, and it’s the favorite move of Scecina wrestler Leonard Love. The wrestler pressures into his opponent, who pressures back. At that point, the wrestler drops down and squeezes opponent’s legs to bring him down.

  • Basketball team offers opportunities for leadership

    The Crusaders basketball team has sprinted out to an 8-3 start to the 2016-17 season, including a thrilling win at 4A Roncalli for the first time in 40 years. 

    The Crusaders hadn't beaten the Rebels on their home court since 1976. The team also scored victories over conference rivals Beech Grove and Speedway.
