Broken Water Main Cancels Classes on Monday

Because of a broken water main and the school building being without water service, classes at Scecina Memorial High School are cancelled for Monday, November 10. Until further notice, after school activities will still occur at their scheduled times and locations.

The broken water main was discovered on Saturday and repairs began immediately. The broken water main is located under the landscaped area near the east entrance to the gym.

Joe Therber, the president of the high school, said “Repairs should be completed by Monday afternoon.”

Sunday evening an email was sent to parents, faculty, and staff alerting them that classes on Monday were cancelled. The news was also posted on the school’s website and distributed via social media.
