Godhigh '14 Earns Scholarship

This past fall, the Indianapolis Fire Department's Emerald Society established a need-based scholarship at Scecina Memorial High School. The scholarship was to be awarded to a deserving student who displayed positive citizenship and leadership.

Chartered in 1994, the Emerald Society is comprised of firefighters from the Indianapolis Metropolitan area. Although the Society was originally established by Professional firefighters of Irish heritage, today membership is open firefighters of all ethnic backgrounds.

As a benevolent society, it seeks to help those in need through generous donations to local community organizations. Chapters exist in many large fire departments with the intent to promote goodwill and camaraderie among it's members.

Congratulations to Linsley Godhigh '14 for earning the 2013 Fallen Firefighters Scholarship!
