Thursday, May 23 – Finals and Baccalaureate Mass. Seniors will have finals for periods 5 and 6 in the morning. Practice for Baccalaureate Mass will begin promptly at 4:30 p.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, 519 Jefferson Blvd., Greenfield, IN 46140. Baccalaureate and practice are both mandatory for all seniors; they must participate in the Mass to participate in Commencement. We must practice to ensure a smooth Baccalaureate Mass; to save time and gas we have made practice directly before the event, therefore students cannot be late to practice. Dinner needs to be after practice, but an hour before receiving the Eucharist, so the timeline requires prompt attendance. Baccalaureate will be a dress-up event with gowns (no caps). Seniors should either be dressed for Mass upon their arrival to practice or should bring their dress clothes with them to change into before Mass begins. The Baccalaureate Mass will be at St. Michael Catholic Church at 7:00 p.m. There are no Scecina-sponsored activities after Mass.
Friday, May 24 – Commencement Rehearsal. Seniors will need to report to the gym at 9:00 a.m. to rehearse for the ceremony. This is a mandatory event for participation in Commencement. Please arrive on time. The administration reserves the right to prohibit a senior who arrives late from participating in graduation. This practice will go as long as it takes to ensure a quality graduation.
