*Only courses that have been approved by the State Board of Education and in which a student has earned a grade of ‘C’ or above may count toward AHD.
To earn the AHD, a student must have a GPA of ‘B’ or above and must meet ONE of the following requirements:
- Complete AP courses (4 credits) and corresponding AP exams
- Earn a combined score of 1200 or higher on the SAT in math and verbal (combined)
- Score a 26 (minimum) (composite) on the ACT
- Complete a combination of AP course (2 credits), corresponding AP exam  and dual credit high school college credit course(s) from the Core Transfer Library (3 credits)

ACADEMIC POLICY

Grade Point Average
The Grade Point Average (GPA) for each semester is determined by dividing honor points earned for all classes taken by the total number of credits attempted. This is a school-wide grading scale approved by the Board of Directors.

77 – 84 C
70 – 76 D
0 – 69 F

HONOR SCALES

The High Honor Roll is determined each quarter and/or semester by including all students with a 7.0 GPA for that grading period. Students with a ‘C’ or lower in any class cannot be on the High Honor Roll. The Honor Roll is determined by including all students with a 6.0 GPA for that grading period. Students with a ‘D’ or ‘F’ in any class cannot be on the Honor Roll.
