OUR VISION Founded by the Archdiocese of Indianapolis in 1953 and enlivened by the presence of the Sisters of St. Francis of Oldenburg, Scecina Memorial High School has educated thousands of students who now lead and serve across Indiana and beyond. The following vision for Scecina is an extension of its past successes, and flows from its modern mission. Within the Eastside Community of Indianapolis, Scecina will be: The High School of Choice for parents who want their sons and daughters educated in a caring environment that fosters Christian values such as discipline, responsibility, and accountability, and who are willing to be involved in creating and sustaining such a culture; The High School of Choice for young adults who value a Catholic atmosphere and who seek to energize their spirits and identify their life’s purpose; The High School of Choice for students who seek a quality liberal arts education with diverse opportunities ranging from Advanced Placement college courses to Core 40 classes; The High School of Choice for students who strive to grow in spirit, mind and body developing their skills in athletics, performing arts, peer leadership, and community service; The High School of Choice for those wishing to serve as educators, coaches and support personnel in an environment where excellence is embraced and where Christian values are interwoven throughout academic disciplines as well as extracurricular programming. |
