    The Crusaders were up just one run, 3-2, as the seventh and final inning of the 2017 State Championship softball game began. They hadn’t scored since the third inning when they put up three runs.   • Scecina senior wins Mental Attitude Award at IHSAA tournament

    After the Crusaders won the state championship game, Scecina’s Rachel Cox was awarded the IHSAA’s Mental Attitude Award in Class 2A Softball.

    Rachel has earned All-Conference, All-City, and Academic All-Conference honors during her time as a member of the Crusaders softball program. Her teams won Indiana Crossroads Conference, City, Sectional, and Regional championships in each of her four seasons. Rachel was also a Crusader cheerleader.
