New to Scecina for the 2015-16 school year, Jose has excelled in his sophomore year. His 3.56 grade point average has earned him a place on the honor roll. He also participates in athletics. “At Scecina I am grateful that I have the opportunity to play boys’ soccer” he says.
When he is not at school, Jose is actively involved in his church community. As a Methodist, he is passionate about his religion. As an extension of this faith, he crusades for worldwide equality. Jose, the son of Denny Flores and Juan Elias, is also passionate about his family. He contributes by assisting with the housework. He takes care of his younger sisters, and helps her with her school work.
Jose is currently on track to graduate with the Indiana Academic Honors Diploma. He would like to attend Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana and major in mechanical engineering.
