Statement of Privacy

Scecina Memorial High School (Scecina) is committed to protecting your privacy and using technology that gives you an easy to use and safe online experience. For example, Scecina does not sell, rent or lease its lists of parents, alumni, students, or friends to third parties. Scecina also is committed to using technology that gives you an easy to use and safe online experience.  

This Statement of Privacy* applies to the Scecina website and governs data collection and usage on Scecina website. By visiting pages of the Scecina website, you consent to the data practices described in this statement. 

Collection of your Personal Information 
When you visit Scecina’s website, Scecina may collect personally identifiable information, such as your e-mail address, name, home or work address or telephone number, or any information which identifies or can be used to identify the person to whom that information pertains. Scecina also collects anonymous demographic information, which is not unique to you, such as your ZIP code, age, gender, preferences, interests and favorites. 

There also is information about your computer hardware and software that is automatically collected by Scecina. Scecina makes efforts to inform all such third parties that Scecina does not intend that they use your personal information except to provide their services to Scecina. 

Scecina keeps track of the website pages that students, parents, alumni, and friends visit, in order to determine what Scecina services, programs, or website pages are the most popular. This data also is used to deliver customized content and marketing message to those whose behavior indicates that they are interested in a particular subject area. 

Scecina will not disclose your personal information, without notice, unless required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on Scecina or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of Scecina; and, (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of students, parents, alumni or friends of Scecina, or the public.
