This week we are aiming the Scecina Spotlight on Z’Nya Banks-Donaldson from the Class of 2017.
Z’Nya attended Liberty Park Elementary and Raymond Park Middle School, both in Warren Township. She enjoys music and reading, and her favorite book is “Money Hungry” by Sharon Flake, a story about the problems that inner-city youth face today.
Since enrolling at Scecina, she has excelled in the Biomedical Sciences Program, with coursework in Human Body Systems and Medical Interventions, Z’Nya plans to study physical therapy, and she would like to attend Emory University in Atlanta.
Z’Nya is fully focused on creating a bright future for herself. A two-time recipient of the President’s Academic Excellence Award, she admits that maintaining a 4.0 GPA is her biggest challenge. But Z’Nya lives by the motto “Adversity makes you stronger.”
