DESCRIPTION:Mandatory Commencement practice: 9 a.m.\, May 26\, Scecina gymnasium. Please arrive by 8:45 a.m. \nCommencement Senior Arrival – Seniors arrive at 6 p.m. for the ceremony\, meeting in the cafeteria. Seniors are to be dressed in their graduation gown\, cap\, and tassel. \nCommencement is a mandatory dress-up event. Boys are expected to be clean shaven. Dress code expectations for Senior Awards Day and Baccalaureate Mass apply. \nTickets: Each senior will receive eight Commencement tickets\, which will include two (2) floor seats of a different color from a senior’s six (6) general seating tickets for bleacher seats. Guests will be asked to present their tickets upon entering the gymnasium at Door #5 (north gym lobby). \nBehavior: Commencement marks the culmination of a student’s elementary\, middle\, and high school education. We expect every senior to conduct him/herself in a way that is fully respectful of him/herself\, his/her family\, Scecina Memorial High School\, and the Archdiocese of Indianapolis. Students will also be subject to a breathalizer test upon arrial in the cafeteria by 6:00 p.m. After successfully completing the ceremony\, with proper decorum\, students will go to the main office to return rental items and pick up all official paperwork.  The office will be open until 9:00 p.m. \nDress Code:  Boys are to be clean-shaven\, wear dress pants\, collared shirts\, and dress shoes or nice tennis shoes. DESCRIPTION:Baccalaureate Mass Practice – Mandatory Baccalaureate Mass practice at 12:00 p.m. for all Class of 2023 members who are attending Baccalaureate Mass at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Seniors are to be dressed in their graduation gown. \nUpon dismissal from school in the morning\, seniors will meet in the Scecina gymnasium and walk with supervision or take a bus to the church.  At the conclusion of rehearsal\, students will return to Scecina either by walking with supervision or on a Scecina bus. We recommend that students bring a snack to eat at school before rehearsal as lunch will not be served. \nBaccalaureate Mass is a required dress-up event with gowns (no caps). Mass begins at 7:00 p.m.  To organize for the senior class picture\, seniors will meet in the Holy Spirit Catholic Church by 6:00 p.m. Family members and special friends are invited to attend the Baccalaureate Mass. DESCRIPTION:Campus Crusade 2023\nSCHOOL WALKATHON for STUDENTS: Friday\, May 19\, 2022 \nDONATION: $50 per student \nProceeds: Money raised is going toward need-based tuition assistance\, academics\, care of our campus\, clubs and athletics\, and campus ministry. Our goal is $9\,000. \nCOLLECTION DAYS IN THE ROTUNDA: 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. May 8\, 9\, 10\, 11\, 12\, 15\, 16\, and17 in the rotunda. Please turn in your donation with a completed donation card in the personalized envelope that the materials came in with your name on the front of the envelope. \nPRIZES FOR STUDENTS \n\nSpecial incentive: All students who donate $50 can dress out of uniform during the final two weeks of school\, starting May 15.\nGrand Prize: $150 Cash Grand Prize – drawn on May 19\, Campus Crusade Day.\nTwo prizes of $50: Early Bird drawing on May 12 and a second drawing on May 18.\nEarly bird drawing on 5/12: $50 and the winner will be put back into the raffle for the other drawings.\nStudents who donated $100 or more get 3 entries into the Grand Prize drawing.\nClass with the highest participation: All members of winning class who also donated to Campus Crusade receive another extra entry into the drawings.\nAttendance on May 19: Attendance will be taken for all students during first period Friday.
