Our Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs empower students to explore career paths, build in-demand skills, and earn industry-recognized certifications while fulfilling Indiana high school graduation requirements.

Career Exploration Fair

The Counseling Department and Business Department have planned an exciting opportunity for Scecina students, as they think about what life might look like after high school.  There will be over 30 professionals and career experts in to speak to our students.  This Career Exploration Fair is planned Tuesday, February 16, in the morning.

Scecina offers three-course progressions for CTE Concentrators in key workforce and college-preparatory fields. These pathways provide a solid foundation in:

Student Spotlight: Hannah’s Journey

“Attending KLR Medical Certification Training School was the best decision I’ve made throughout my  four years in high school. I spent my mornings at Scecina and my afternoons at MedVet Animal Hospital, where I had the hands-on experience of learning what it’s like to be a vet assistant, vet tech, and veterinarian. I passed my vet assistant certification exam and my certification in dog and cat CPR. This resulted in my becoming an official vet assistant, which will help me learn the basics needed to go to college. The counseling team at Scecina, as well as my KLR instructors, made sure I stayed up to date with my assignments needed to graduate from KLR and from Scecina. I recommend this program to any student who not only has a huge love of animals, like me, but also any student who wants to explore a new career path or wants a head start on their future career.”
