Director of Development

Scecina Memorial High School is seeking a Director of Development who will collaborate with school leadership to develop and implement strategies to cultivate, invite, and steward alumni and friends’ financial support for school priorities.

The director is responsible for managing the annual Scecina Fund, special events, and special development projects. We are seeking an experienced and visionary development professional who is committed to Catholic school education, is an effective collaborator and project manager, and has strong relationship-building skills.

Assistant Principal for Academics – Scecina Memorial High School

The Assistant Principal for Academics is directly responsible to the principal of Scecina Memorial High School and works closely with the principal in collaborating with and coaching teachers.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports and actively promotes the school’s Catholic mission and philosophy in all aspects of school life
  • Model Gospel values and foster a faith-filled environment rooted in Catholic teachings
  • Reviews classroom operations and conducts walk-throughs/observations
  • Collects and analyzes student performance data
  • Guides the use of state standards and curriculum maps
  • Teaches best practice methods to help meet instructional goals for students success and retention
  • Coordinates new teacher training and mentor sessions throughout the school year.
  • Serves as Title coordinator
  • Collaborates with department chairs to meet state requirements
  • Collaborates with the Guidance department for summative/formative testing as well as state-mandated testing
  • Manages substitute teachers

Qualifications:

  • Valid Indiana teaching license (administrative license preferred or ability to obtain)
  • Commitment to Catholic education and values
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff

Assistant Principal for Student Services – Scecina Memorial HS

The Assistant Principal for Student Services reports directly to the principal of Scecina Memorial HS and works closely with the principal in coordinating and administering safety, attendance and discipline policies and procedures throughout the school year. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Supports and actively promotes the school’s Catholic mission and philosophy in all aspects of school life
  • Models Gospel values and fosters a faith-filled environment rooted in Catholic teachings
  • Collaborates with the core administrative team, faculty, students and parents to foster an environment that promotes self-discipline and decisions based on truth, good citizenship and the dignity of every person
  • Coordinates and administers the attendance policies and procedures
  • Maintains timely and accurate records of student discipline and determines when a student should be placed on disciplinary or attendance probations in collaboration with the principal and president
  • Communicates with students, teachers and parents in matters of safety, attendance and discipline
  • Maintains school safety certification, monitors and records school safety drills
  • Supervises student clubs and activity sponsors, while ensuring that each club is staffed and actively meeting throughout the year.
  • Works with the principal and other relevant stakeholders to annually review and update the Student-Parent Handbook.
