Developmental Math

An integrated math course focusing on students’ strengths while identifying and refining areas for growth. This course provides students with the necessary skills to be successful in Algebra I and other future mathematic courses required to graduate from high school.

Reading and Math Study Skills

Teaches time management, personal organization, note taking, reading comprehension, test prep, goal setting, and stress management skills so that students can take increasing responsibility for their learning, seek help when needed, and effectively communicate with teachers.

    What We Do

    • English Learners (ELs) receive additional academic support in specific classes tailored for them.
    • Teachers are trained to implement distinct support strategies to help ELs succeed academically.
    • Co-teaching models are used in certain classes that have many ELs to provide extra attention and support.
    • ELs receive individualized learning plans that have accommodations based on the student’s strengths and needs.
    • Teachers and ELs have frequent meetings to ensure they receive necessary support from classroom teachers and tutors.
