This award honors students who embody the Christian values of service, compassion, and commitment to others, reflecting the legacy of the late John Henninger, a beloved teacher, coach, and dean at Scecina. Their peers chose Gaudreau and Maguire as individuals who live out these values in their daily lives.

These honors are awarded to seniors who demonstrate excellence in academics, strong character, and a commitment to “giving that little extra,” in the spirit of Father Tom’s well-known motto. Recipients are recognized as outstanding representatives of Scecina’s mission and values.

This award, developed by the Indiana Department of Education, honors seniors who demonstrate literacy in English and at least one additional language. To qualify, students must meet specific academic and testing benchmarks. Scecina proudly presents this recognition for the first time to Soledad Gonzalez, and looks forward to honoring more multilingual graduates in years to come.
